Vitamin D 2000 IU is a dietary supplement intended for individuals with pronounced vitamin D deficiency, weakened immunity, osteopenia, osteomalacia, osteoporosis, diabetes, impaired immune function, autoimmune, cardiovascular, and malignant conditions, as well as for individuals over the age of 65 for the prevention of bone fractures.

Vitamin D regulates calcium levels in the body, enabling normal calcium homeostasis in the serum and normal bone mineralization, while helping prevent hypocalcemic muscle tetany. It also supports phosphorus absorption. It is essential for the normal growth and development of bones, as well as their remodeling by osteoblasts and osteoclasts. In children, vitamin D deficiency leads to rickets, while in adults it manifests as osteomalacia. Together with calcium, vitamin D helps prevent osteoporosis in older adults. In addition, vitamin D has many other roles in the body, including the reduction of inflammatory processes, support of immune system function, and many others.
